assumptions
it's our nature to fear the unknown. we always assume that whatever is around the corner is bad. why don't we ever assume that something good awaits us? if we trust God and believe that He has His hand over us we can walk around the corner in faith...not fear.

thinking inside the box
"think outside the box" is a often-used phrase but sometimes we need to think inside the box. we can't get caught up in what-ifs and if-onlys. we need to be content with our box, whatever it may look like. God put us in that box for His purpose and His plan and it's up to us to look at what He allows us to do and be happy and productive in that role. we don't always understand but He does and that should be good enough for us.

mountains
i'm a mountain climber...with some help. God and i have climbed lots of mountains together. some have been small...helping me find my keys or facing a financial issue. others have been huge...unbelief and addiction. no matter how big or small, God has led me over all the mountains. Sometimes He's even picked me up and carried me over. But He's always there to lend a hand.

never give up
no matter the circumstance, we can never give up. God will see us through. i've certainly experienced that in my own life. His faithfulness is more than we can fathom. regardless of how many times you get knocked down, keep getting up and reaching up...for the hand that took the nails for us.

grace is amazing
amazing grace how sweet the sound...that saved a wretch like me...i once was lost but now i'm found...was blind but now i see

Father knows best
God always gives us what we need. that doesn't mean He gives us what we want. His thoughts are not our thoughts the Bible says. He knows what's best for us because He knows His plan for us and we have to trust that plan...and Him.

slow fade
i heard that casting crowns song "slow fade" on the radio today. the words are so true. we never get where we are in a day. it's a slow process of rounding corners and compromising standards and before we realize it the devil has us in his grasp. his mission is to destroy us and the sad thing is, we'll usually do most of the work for him. stand strong. don't fade.
